STUDIO 2 – an artistic duo founded by Beata Kotnowska and Dariusz Vasina, graduates of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Their joint practice combines the diverse interests of both artists and operates between art, design and pop culture. They comment on contemporary visual art with ease and irony, often payfully engaging with the very idea of the “work of art”. They create visual narratives that blur the boundaries between reality and fiction.
Beata Kotnowska – designer and visual artist, who worked in the advertising industry for two decades. Winner of awards at national and international advertising and design festivals. Since 2022, she has been pursuing an individual artistic practice, creating digital graphics and exhibition concepts.
Dariusz Vasina – painter, illustrator, and educator. He runs the Painting Studio at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków and the Illustration Studio at School of Form, SWPS University in Warsaw. He has participated in over 100 exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Since 2019, he has been designing public murals. His works include murals on the building of the Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków.
